JLN Immigration Consulting is a private company that supports clients with immigration related documents and services. Our services are regulated by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and we comply with its legislation and regulations. When securing a service from JLN Immigration Consulting, you agree that:

• JLN Immigration Consulting shall not be liable for papers lost by Canada Post, courier businesses, any other mail service, or government office 
• JLN Immigration Consulting is not liable for rejected applications. Applications are dismissed at the sole discretion of the governmental authority concerned
• All fees are non-refundable once the request is presented to the relevant government agency
• The purchase of a service requiring payment of a retainer also involves the signing of a retainer agreement dictating the conditions of service of JLN Immigration Consulting; no service will be made until the retainer agreement has been concluded
• Purchasing a service shows that you, the customer, are committed to paying all charges related to that service
• Full payment is due before submitting any immigration related documentation to government organizations

When you agree to JLN Immigration Consulting to represent you with regard to submitting immigration related applications, you have several responsibilities as a client, including:

• Providing all information and necessary documentation such as photocopies of ID documents, completed forms, original documents when necessary, and any other documents which are requested, in a timely fashion
• Advising JLN Immigration Consulting of any updates to your situation including changes in address or leaving Canada for extended periods of time
• Advising JLN Immigration Consulting of any correspondence you have received directly from the government in a timely fashion
• Being honest and forthright about information regarding your application

The applicant assumes all accountability and accountability for the correctness and completeness of the data on application forms. JLN Immigration Consulting assumes no accountability in the application forms for any mistakes, omissions or incomplete or illegible data. All forms must have an approved guarantor to process them where necessary. The applicant must qualify for certificates, passports and other documents and/or be qualified to obtain them. Only the province in question determines eligibility. The applicant agrees that it has made its own travel agreements–this is not done on behalf of the customer by JLN Immigration Consulting. JLN Immigration Consulting assumes no liability and/or accountability for the processing and/or manufacturing of certificates/cards or other public tasks. The applicant agrees to be bound by the following payment terms and conditions:

• Payment by PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Certified Cheque or Bank Draft, Money Order, and e-Transfer
• All payments and transactions are final
• Clients are held liable for all credit card bounces/insufficient funds occurrences for payment of all consultation fees and services rendered and agree to make alternate payments to JLN Immigration Consulting within 5 business days of a credit card rejection. JLN Immigration Consulting will withhold any applications to be processed or submitted until the amount owing is paid in full
• The aforementioned terms and conditions shall be in complete force until JLN Immigration Consulting has obtained written notice from the applicant of the cancellation in such a way as to provide JLN Immigration Consulting with a fair chance to act on that request
• JLN Immigration Consulting agrees to charge the applicant only, where appropriate, for service, HST, public fees, shipping charges and any disbursements.There are no HST charged on government fees
• JLN Immigration Consulting fees are in addition to any government fees applied.
• JLN Immigration Consulting Service Fees are non-refundable
• The processing period will only commence upon receipt of the agreed upon funds
• The applicant agrees that JLN Immigration Consulting is not responsible for credit/ e-Transfer authorization or approval
• Service is based on standard government processing times. The time frame for receiving the paperwork required varies by jurisdiction
• Any time frame indicated for receiving the documents required is an estimate, not a guarantee
• In some cases, JLN Immigration Consulting will notify the applicant upon receipt by the government of the certificate. The government will immediately forward the completed document to the applicant in other instances. This differs according to jurisdiction
• All other terms and conditions are applicable

• In the case of a consultation paid for in advance online, no fee will be charged if the Client withdraws from the consultation before it commences. Once the consultation begins, no refund will be made
• In the case of an in-person consultation, the Client will be asked to sign a “Consultation Agreement” agreeing to pay a set fee for the consultation when they arrive at our offices. Once the Client signs the agreement, the consultation fee is payable, and no refunds will be made
• In the case where we agree to advise, represent and assist you with an immigration matter you will be asked to sign an agreement governing the terms of the contract between us before we start work on the matter. Under Canadian contract law, a contract does not exist until such time as the parties reach an agreement and a consideration is paid. Therefore, once you sign our contract and we commence services, no refund of the initial fee paid should be expected
• Further refunds of additional fees, if any, are governed by the terms of the contract you sign
• The contract further advises you of your right to seek independent legal advice and to obtain a translation of any phrases or sentences that are unclear to you prior to entering into the contract

• JLN Immigration Consulting has a standard fee for an Initial consultation which is $150.00 CAD (plus applicable taxes) which covers a consultation period up to a maximum time of 1 hour in length either in person or over the phone
• JLN Immigration Consulting does not guarantee that every initial consultation will be exactly 1 hour as some consultations will not require the full 1 hour time allocated.  
• Clients will be billed the standard fee of $150.00 CAD (plus applicable taxes) regardless of whether the full 1 hour is reached or not, and no discounts will be applied in the case where the initial consultation is less than 1 hour in length 
• Clients will be billed $37.50 CAD (plus applicable taxes) for every additional 15 minutes of consulting past the first 1 hour of the agreed upon initial consultation period
• If you agree to speak with a JLN Immigration Consultant for an initial consultation with regards to a service and choose not to buy the service at the end of the session, you will still be obligated to pay the full initial consultation fee plus any additional amounts owing if the initial consultation is over the 1 hour time allocated
• All consultation fees for signed retainer agreements and other related agreements are non-refundable once work for services agreed upon have begun by a JLN Immigration Consultant
