JLN IMMIGRATION

Atlantic Immigration Program

Program Background

The Atlantic Immigration Program is an employer-driven immigration program that started March 2017 and was scheduled to run for three years. As of March 1, 2019, an announcement was made extending the program for an additional two years.  In 2022,  the program became permanent. It was developed to attract and retain qualified candidates from around the world to support local population growth and employer labour shortages.  The program was created to support the Atlantic Growth Strategy and New Brunswick Economic Growth Plan.  This program is an excellent pathway to permanent residency. Additionally, an LMIA is not required for this program.

  • The employer wants to hire full-time, non-seasonal international candidates;
  • The employer and their business are  well-established and in good standing; and
